Far Reach II

We had a wonderful stay. Pictures were very accurate. Check-in and out was about as easy as it could be. Was there things that could be fixed/upgraded? Sure, but nothing that would warrant me deducting points. If we decide on Gulf Shores in the future, we'll definitely choose Far Reach again.

The house was the perfect sz for our family and it was right on the beach. The host communicated quickly and efficiently took care of any small issue we might have had during our stay. I would definitely want to stay here again in the future!

2nd time staying here. We opted to stay here this year after a great time last year. Love the location of the house and everything about it. Minor updates needed. The only complaint we had really is the pipe of dredged material being discharged our last two days but we knew it was there and that's out of the hands of the property owner. Perfect place for the perfect vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property description of the house was accurate regarding location, layout, and all the amenities. The property was clean. It is a bit dated, but not a huge issue. We did like the outdoor shower too! So convenient to wash all the sand off before getting in the house. There was picture in the house of this home before a remodel- It was nice to see the improved changes.After cooking the first meal, we did not have any pot holders to get the hot food out of the oven. Someone could have easily taken one from the home previously, but it was an inconvenience so we had to use a hand towel until one was purchased-which I took the one I bought home with me. This house was very easy walk to the beach. We have two small children in tow and it was nice to walk back to the house. As a family, we really enjoyed the location. It was a close drive to restaurants, family fun parks, and attractions.It would be nice to have a grill. There was a grill on the property, but not in working condition-the legs were broken. Although, the listing did not include a grill. It is in the behind the storage building under the house. Looks like someone bought it and left it there. It should be removed, because it is in one of the pictures in the listing.We did experience an hour and half delay with check-in. We were told at check-in time that it would be later. I called to see what the estimated time would be, the representative said that the cleaners were there at that time, and we would be giving a text with the code when it is done. The text was given 1.5 hours later. Again, NOT a huge issue. We were excited to get to our destination. Overall, we would stay here again. Those small things did not ruin a great family beach trip. We plan to stay there again. We loved the boardwalk and easy access to the beach.

We got into town early and they were able to give us the door code and hour before the place was supposed to be ready! They were extremely friendly and easy to get a hold of! Easy access for families that don't want to have to go very far with their kids. We have five kids ranging from an infant to 18yo. You don't even have to leave the property to find things to do. The white sand and emerald waters are beautiful. My kids enjoyed not only the beach but going out on the balcony to feed seagulls. You can open up the doors and hear the ocean or watch the sights right from the house. It's not near as far of a walk down the boardwalk than what it looks on pictures. All around an incredibly great stay!!!! We loved it and hope to go back again. Also the beach was never that crowded which is a big plus!!!!

The property was very nice and we loved being right now the beach! It was not very busy, we had lots of space on the beach for fun, and could walk back into the house whenever we wanted. What a relaxing way to spend a beach long weekend! We had a great time and would stay here again.

No remote for main TV and 2 bedroom TV. Called management when we arrived and they said would check with inspector and call back but never did. Also door to attic was open and 8 broken boogie boards stacked in outdoor shower. Need to inspect better before guest arrive. Not that big of a deal because I don't come to beach to watch TV but needs to be adressed.

This house was exactly what we needed! Beautiful view, quick and easy beach access, clean and cozy interior, and plenty of space for our family to spread out. The remotes to the TV didn't work but we just used the buttons on the side. The ice from the ice maker had a bit of a fishy smell to it so it probably needs a filter change. Those are really the only complaints we had but they are easy to work around. It was overall a wonderful experience and we hope to use this house again in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Far Reach! The location and proximity to the ocean was perfect! We spent so much time on the beach, and the surrounding area was filled with experiences, restaurants, excursions, history, and activities to keep all of us continually wishing we could extend our stay past one week. The only drawback was the bed in the master bedroom. The mattress is a harder than my wife and i are used to. Otherwise it was the perfect escape for our Spring vacation. We will return!

We loved the Far Reach property. We wanted to stay safe and follow CoVID precautions. This house was perfect. We were right on the beach with our own walkway. The large balcony was my favorite part. We had a party of 5 and it was plenty of room. Close enough to 'town' but far enough away to enjoy the beautiful, quiet beach.

The place was awesome, great private pathway to the beach was our favorite part. It’s a little outdated for the price and the mattresses throughout needs to be out on the side of the road but all in all it’s great. I would definitely stay again here.

Pros: Location-close enough to everything, but the beach was not crowded at all. A short boardwalk to the beach and you were Oceanside. Best location we've ever stayed at the past 10-12 years we've been visiting OB/GS. Very clean and stocked with what was expected. Plenty of room for our large group of teenagers (they had a wonderful time and had room to spread out). Kitchen was clean, but dated. Lots of room for us to have breakfast and lunch. Plenty of pots/pans, dishes, glasses, etc. Cons: We couldn't check in until 5:30 (called and talked to reps three times before we got the access code). Not enough outdoor seating (only three worn plastic chairs and a rusty table). No lounge chairs. Beds; very uncomfortable (like other reviewers stated). It didn't hurt our vacation, but newer beds and pillows are really needed. Overall, the house needs some updating and love. With that said, we would rent again because of the cleanliness and location.

We enjoyed our stay very much! Great house with a wonderful deck and boardwalk to the beach. Beach was not crowded and it was just minutes from shopping and dining. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Loved having the boardwalk to the beach. You could leave a few more rolls of toilet paper & garbage bags when you are offering a 4 bedroom house. The garbage did not get picked up so it was a bit tough to get our bags into the outside trash can. We enjoyed our stay and spent a lot of evening time on the deck looking into the water. We had a great stay.

We absolutely loved this house! It was our first time renting a home and were not sure what to expect. This home was far beyond our expectations! It was extremely roomy for our crew of 8. It was very clean and the location was spectacular!! We loved being right on the beach!!! We will definitely be returning!!!!

The house was great. The right size for my family to have their own space but yet still come together for dinner and evening fun. It was clean, well kept and the kitchen had everything you needed for meals. The beach was awesome and the walkway made for easier access. Great place.
